Coming from you that means a lot. And thank you for all the patterns you've given us. It's a great thing for us females, to have pretty things to match our wardrobes, and our moods and well ... just because. :) And it's just great to have male crafters. Now I have to go and debate on whether my next purse will be Allison or Dawn. After I finish my Sweet Project, and a few other things that I must get finished first.

Comment on Back on track ... ?

Looks fantastic!! I really love the poncho, it's soft and warm. The pattern I used came from the Crochet Pattern-a-day calendar for 2006, it was the Sept 7th pattern. The pattern called for using all of the same color of Homespun, but I decided to stripe it instead. In my version I did 5 rows of each color with a row of white in between for contrast. Hope that helps you out. :D Feel free to ask any other questions if needed.

Comment on Fall Poncho

Hi
I love the poncho! It's just what i've been looking for - do you have a pattern?
Thanks

Comment on Starting Christmas presents

I was having the same worries, but I think it's okay. Basically (if my math is right), if you're doing Julie's version then you're adding 2 increases at the neckline, every two rows. You have to keep working the increases until you have the same number of new stitches as your original neck measurement.... in my case that's 28 stitches, so 28 rows of increases. At row 14 I switched to 3 rows of increases, one row without, and I'm getting a nice rounded V. At row 19, I'm about 4 rows away from finishing the V.

Comment on My Halfshell Purse

Hiya! I made this same purse the other night and had a heck of a time sewing the bottom together without getting those 'bumps' on the bottom of the bag. On my 3rd attempt I finally got it so the bottom of the bag is a smooth seam...I'm so glad to see that you have the bumps on yours too cause I thought I was doing something wrong!! :O)

Comment on What am I doing wrong?

My sweater looked just like this when I was starting. I know it says about 5-6 rows to finish the neck shaping in the guidelines, but it took me 10-11 rows or so. I kept going until the points roughtly met when it was laid flat...at that point the count in front=the count in the back. I hope that's clear. You're doing great!

Comment on What am I doing wrong?

It looks fine to me!
