Back on track ... ?

Okay, so the last week hasn't exactly been good for my crafting, or anything else for that matter.  The only thing I seem to have been working on lately is my last nerve.  Not that I haven't done anything, it's just all been fairly simple pieces that I don't have to keep my mind on, in case it wandered and I messed up somehow.

Things seem to be going better now, and I fully expect that I'll get a chance to work on Sweet tonight.

During the past weekend though, to celebrate the fact that I actually survived it, I did a little something for me.  It's a very pretty little something, though it didn't come out quite the way the picture in the pattern did.  That probably has much to do with the fact that I replaced an i-cord handle with a beaded one.  Do you know why they call it an idiot cord?  Because idiots like me can't make one.  Oh, I know the technicals of it, and can perform the proper movements, but no matter what I did it came out looking ... blah.

Oh, yeah, the pattern I'm talking about is The Crochet Dude's Purl McBigBottom.  His first knit purse design, and of course being a knitter as well as a crocheter I had to do it.  Oh,  a picture?  Sure, I guess...

So, there it is.  Doesn't look a lot like his, but I swear I used his pattern.  It came out nicely though, and I'm enjoying it so far.

Off to work for me.

Thanks Drew. Coming from you that means a lot. And thank you for all the patterns you've given us. It's a great thing for us females, to have pretty things to match our wardrobes, and our moods and well ... just because. And it's just great to have male crafters. Now I have to go and debate on whether my next purse will be Allison or Dawn. After I finish my Sweet Project, and a few other things that I must get finished first.
